This home of a young couple, is located in Focsani, Romania, in an old residential building. Unhappy with the original layout and lighting, they wished to have the space fully transformed.

We focused on reconfiguring the layout to have an open space for the living-room, kitchen and dining area and on finding space for a second bathroom.

The L-shaped kitchen has a breakfast counter and is connected to the dining area with a see-through cabinet for glasses and drinks. The functional storage space is integrated into the wall separating day-time from night-time spaces. The living room has light open shelves used mainly for books and decorations.

The shelving units and cabinets throughout the apartment are crafted with wood and metal combined with earthy rough textures. The obtained industrial vibe was spiced up with a few elegant elements, in order to create a cozy, yet slightly unfinished look.
